Can I ask why Bannister Green Halt had to be rebuilt?
The way is now a much used country park, and as part of the improvements old 'Halts' have been reinstated, well one has. This to give a 'feel' for when it was used in times past. Passenger traffic ceased in 1952, long before you were born.
Halt? Who halts there, the halt and the lame? Is that where you had to wait for the train?
Indeed you waited there for the train, I suspect some might still do that, country people being what they are....
