Postman's Park

A long wall established in the 19th century commemorating
those why lost their lives while saving others.

  1. What a nice photo. Letting us know and inviting us remember and in this continuing the purpose of the wall.

  2. A purpose that ought to be continued.

  3. They weren't all postman were they? The name of the park is not related to memorial wall I am thinking?

  4. The building behind is the General Post Office Building, now Royal Mail, and as they do in London small spaces are turned into parks. In the 19th century a man decided to honour brave folks who lost their lives attempting to save others, postmen or not.
